About Us

World Journal established its Los Angeles office in June 1980. In December 1981, it was incorporated under California law and began operating as an independent business entity. On March 23, 2010, the company was restructured as World Journal LA, LLC, dedicated to Chinese-language news publishing and journalism in Southern California. World Journal LA, LLC is owned by Cooper Investors Inc.

As a Chinese-language news organization deeply rooted in Southern California, we uphold a longstanding commitment to journalistic integrity and are dedicated to providing trustworthy original content and news reporting. We also organize cultural and holiday events throughout the year, fostering strong, lasting connections and meaningful engagement with the Chinese American community.
